After a long hiatus, we’re back and out west.
It’s my first time in Van, Canada’s west coast gem. A city with some soul, great greenspace and snazzy little nooks.
The one day it didn’t rain, I decided to lead a pack of people to Spokes, where we rented some city bikes and rode the Seawall, Stanley Park’s glorious window onto the Pacific Ocean. After some back and forth yo-yo on some unpaved roads because of the half marathon route closures, I found myself on the edge of BC, riding with the wind on my face, that positive, empty brainliberation you feel when you hit speed under the sun.
The 11 K ride was a perfect spin on this crisp fall Sunday.
Sunday night dinner and drinks in Gastown were superb. Hit up l’Abattoir for some serious food.
I walked around downtown today, caught up with an old friend over some delicious beef rolls at Perfect Restaurant.
Headed back under the rain and my courtesy umbrella and will keep y’all posted on tonight’s sushi plans.
