Ko Phi Phi (pronounced Pee Pee) is a beautiful island in the Andaman Sea that is high on the list of things to see in Thailand. And people rarely flock to places that could be passed up.
Take a boat from Phuket (if you time it perfectly, you’ll make the last one at 3:00 pm, avoiding Phuket all together)
We ate some great Thai food at Papaya, as we watch their mascot cat take a deep snooze. DMC served up some great Panang curry dishes, and they also have some non-spicy options for the softer pallets.
Long Beach is a great strip to laze around and watch the sunset.
On our dusky way back, we had a beer at Chukit Bar, a great place to unwind to some reggae.
Take a longtail boat out to Ko Phi Phi Lei, and soak in the sun at Maya Bay – one of the top beaches I’ve been to.
Venture out after dark for music, buckets and all kinds of stories. Including live Muay Thai at Reggae Bar.
